This charming “Marguerite” birdhouse welcomes blue tits, marsh tits, crested tits and coal tits. It can safely shelter a family of 5 to 10 birds.
Mounted on a wall or tree, this birdhouse is not only decorative; it also helps birds that can no longer easily find natural places to build their nests.
With a 28 mm entrance hole, this birdhouse 'Marguerite' is ideal for small tit species such as the crested tit, coal tit, willow tit, or blue tit.
The entrance is protected by a metal daisy-shaped plate that prevents predators from enlarging the opening to reach the chicks (such as woodpeckers or martens). The thickness of the wood and the extended roof effectively protect young birds from bad weather.
On both sides, ventilation openings are provided, along with a side access panel that allows the birdhouse to be cleaned after winter.
The roof is made from French Douglas fir and the body from French spruce. The wood is 15 mm thick.
Birdhouse construction:
These woods, naturally rot-resistant, withstand time, insects, and weather without any treatment. They require no additional products.
The wood is slowly air-dried: no deformation and no extra energy consumption from artificial drying.
